Balance Transfer Virtual Lab
Procedures:
1. "Explore" the virtual lab by clicking on all of the equipment available. Click on the "Procedure" tab and then the "Lab Notebook" and complete the online Hypothesis section.
2. Click to the next step on the interface (Step 2 of 7) and open your online "Lab Notebook" to complete the "experiment" tab. Make sure that all fields are completed as you will not be able to continue to the next step until they are filled.
3. Follow the simulator directions to set up 8 test tubes with BTB (bromothymol blue) in the test tube racks.
4. Add one elodea pleant to test tubes 3 & 4 in each of the racks. Also add one snail to test tubes 1,2,3, & 4 in the racks. Also add one snail to test tubes 1,2,3, & 4 in the second test tube rack. Using the "Lab Notebook" and the color key for the BTB, record your predicted color outcome for each tube.
5. Click on the "Add Stoppers" buttons and then drag your test tube racks under the grow light. Click on the clock to advance the stimulation 24 hours.
6. Observe and record your outcomes in the online "Lab Notebook" and your Data Table below.
7. Once done submit all work HERE.
